T.Ocho Show Will Likely Be Crude, Stupid, Awkward and Foolish

Posted by Dan Levy.

As if separate VH1 shows weren’t enough for Batman and Robin of the NFL, Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco have signed on with Versus to create their own show, cleverly named T.Ocho. Here’s highlights from the plug on Versus.com:

Taking their All-Pro games to another level, Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco will team up to star on “The T.Ocho Show,” debuting initially as a regular segment on Versus’ nightly sports show “The Daily Line” Tuesday September 7 at 11 p.m.After a five-week run as part of “The Daily Line,” the half-hour show will launch officially on Versus October 12th, making it the first-ever weekly national NFL talk show starring two active players.

This is no blah, blah, video blog. T.O. and Ochocinco will offer unique in-the-huddle perspectives, behind-the-scenes insights, and their own personal outlooks on all things NFL and more. Already reality-TV stars, media celebrities, and crossover personalities of American pop culture, T.O. and Ochocinco will look at the best and worst of Twitter, the most memorable moments from both players’ VH1 reality shows, and many other topics–from Kim Kardashian’s dating habits to Rex Ryan’s eating habits.

Having two current players host a television show is a unique and interesting concept, but during the season? Are you kidding me? How is this okay with the NFL, let alone the Bengals? Remember, this is a league that fines players if they don’t have the right color-to-white sock ratio and they’re okay with two of their most dynamic players yapping about other players’ girlfriends and the eating habits of another team’s coach? This is either going to be fantastic or an absolute disaster, which will probably make it even more fantastic.

That said, nobody can actually watch this show, right? As Nick pointed out on our show today, this has to be a situation where you just watch The Soup to catch highlights between Real Housewives updates or something. This show can’t actually be watchable. It just can’t.

And hey, did anyone think to Google the term before naming a show T.Ocho? Or is that part of the gag and I totally missed it? Go ahead, Google the term “Tocho” and see what comes up. You found this too, did you? Seems dead on, actually.

tocho,-a I adjetivo rustic, crude, stupid

Prepare your popcorn.
